Types of Plan & Eligibility

Yes, you are able to purchase a policy to cover your one-way trip. However, you must choose the 1-4-day trip premium, and the cover will cease once you arrive at your new country of residence or employment.

Yes, but the premiums will be based on the last person's return date and your own coverage will end as soon as you reach your residence in Indonesia.

For "Just Me" Plan:

The Insured must be a Indonesia Resident, and aged 18 to 85 years of age on the effective date of the insurance. Indonesia Resident means an Indonesia Citizen or a Non-Indonesia Citizen, who holds a valid Non-Tourist visa at the time of applying for the insurance.

For "Me and My Spouse" Plan:

Two individuals traveling together, aged 18 to 85 years (inclusive).

For "Me and My Family" Plan:

Two Adults aged 18 to 85 years (inclusive) and up to 3 children, aged 6 months to 23 years (inclusive).

Schengen Visa

Yes, Chubb plans are approved by the Schengen Consulates in Indonesia

We recommend, Standard, Superior or Deluxe Plans. All these plans fully meet with the Schengen Visa requirements. Just choose the most suitable plan for your needs

If you plan to visit Europe and you are a Indonesian national, you will need a Schengen Visa if you are travelling to these companies: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

Yes, all Indonesian nationals travelling whether for leisure or business purposes to the European countries under the Schengen agreement require a Schengen Visa and as part of the Schengen Visa application you must have a travel insurance policy covering your trip. Please note, not all countries in Europe are under the Schengen agreement. For example the UK and Ireland are not part of the Schengen Visa arrangements.

A minimum medical expenses sum insured of 30,000 Euros (approximately USD 50,000) is required in order to comply with the Schengen Visa requirements. All the plans offered on this website fully meet with the Schengen Visa requirements.

Yes for Single Trip policies, we will refund the premium to you in full, if for any reason you are denied a Visa by the country where the trip takes place. All you need to do is provide satisfactory evidence that the Consulate has denied your visa before your trip was scheduled to start.

Medical Cover

A "pre-existing condition" means any medical condition from which the Insured suffered, or for which medical advice or treatment was recommended, within a 12 month period before the effective date of this policy.

A medical examination is not required, however, do note that any pre-existing medical conditions are not covered.

Yes, it is covered if it is resulting from an accident during the period of cover. However, this does not include costs of dentures.

Baggage Cover

No, the amount of baggage cover cannot be increased.

No, Chubb does not cover any hired or leased equipment.

This plan will pay the stated benefit amount specified in the Certificate of insurance for every six full consecutive hours of delay, up to the maximum benefit amount specified.

No, it would not as unaccompanied baggage is not covered.

Up to IDR 6,500,000 for any one item or set or pair of articles.

Sports and Sporting Equipment

Yes, Chubb will cover up to IDR 6,500,000 per item up to the maximum amount specified in the policy.

Please refer to the general exclusions section of the policy wording. We do not cover any type of boat, car, or motor racing, sports as a professional, engaging in any aviation activities, unless as a fare-paying passenger on regularly scheduled airline or private unscheduled air chartered company.

Trip Cancellation

The policy does not cover if you cancel your trip due to this type of situation. If for any reason you are denied a Visa by the country where the trip takes place, we will refund your single trip premium in full provided that you can provide satisfactory evidence that the Consulate has denied your visa before your trip was scheduled to start.

Yes, if your home is in habitable and the event occurs within seven (7) days before your scheduled departure date.

Yes this is covered, provided it is certified by a medical practitioner that you are unfit for travel. The journey cancellation benefit covers the unrecoverable costs of your flight and accommodation if you are forced to cancel any part of a planned journey prior to the departure date. We will pay expenses paid all or partly in advance as deposit or in advance which are not being used or forfeited non-refundable payments or deposits, which are not recoverable from any other source.

What type of cancellation events are covered under the policy?

1. The Insured Person dying or becoming ill or sustaining Bodily Injury which is confirmed as a condition which renders the Insured Person unfit to travel in the opinion of a medical practitioner;

2. The death, of the Insured Person's family member or Bodily Injury or Sickness which results in hospital confinement;

3. Unexpected strike or riot

4. Jury service or being required to be a court witness;

5. The Insured Person being subject to compulsory quarantine or hijack

6. The Insured Person's permanent residence in Indonesia becoming uninhabitable following fire, storm, or flood occurring within 7 days of the scheduled departure date;

General

Single Trip policies are non-cancellable and non-refundable. For annual policies, you may cancel the policy and the company will refund the premium after deducting a partial for the effective period of the policy on a pro-rata basis, The above FAQ should be read and construed in light of, and subject to, all terms, conditions and exclusions contained in the Policy

Chubb does not impose any excess on the Chubb Travel Insurance policy.

Yes, you are covered on the way to and from the airport once your policy is enforce.

No Chubb Travel Insurance excludes acts of terrorism involving the use of nuclear, chemical or biological agents.

Yes, there are no eligibility restrictions for business travellers. This insurance is available to both business and leisure travellers.

The policy is automatically issued with all benefits being payable to your estate in the event of your death. If you would like to nominate a beneficiary, please proceed to purchase the policy and then immediately contact the Chubb Travel Insurance Customer Service team and we will arrange to send to you a Beneficiary Nomination Form.
